Before you engage
Election cases run on short, unforgiving periods. A protest or quo warranto petition is generally due within ten days of proclamation, and a petition against a Certificate of Candidacy carries its own early deadline. Once a period lapses it is rarely recoverable. Bring the matter the day the result is known. That gives us room to build the theory and gather the evidence while time remains. We cannot promise an outcome. What we can do is file completely and on time.

Questions
Not long. For most local positions a protest or a quo warranto petition is due within ten days of the proclamation, and the period is counted strictly. Treat the proclamation date as the start of the clock and consult at once. A late petition is usually dismissed without reaching the merits.
Yes. The law allows a petition to deny due course to or cancel a Certificate of Candidacy, and separate petitions for disqualification or to declare a nuisance candidate, each with its own ground and deadline. These are heard by the COMELEC. The consultation sets out which remedy fits the facts and how much time is left to use it.
A recount or revision of ballots is a way to prove a protest. It does not guarantee that the result will be reversed. Whether the count changes depends on the ballots, the returns, and the grounds pleaded. Before any petition is filed, we will tell you candidly whether the margin and the evidence make a contest worth pursuing.
