A personal-injury claim rests on two things: that the injury is documented, and that the other party's negligence can be shown. Get medical attention and keep every record, receipt, and prescription; photograph the scene, the vehicles, and your injuries; secure the police or incident report; and get the names and details of any witnesses and the other party. Note that claims prescribe, meaning the law sets a deadline to sue and it can be shorter than people expect, so do not let it sit. How much, if anything, is recovered depends on the proof of fault, the proof of your losses, and the other side's ability to pay, so no honest lawyer can promise a figure or a result. If another person's negligence caused your injury, the Civil Code (Article 2176) may allow a claim for the costs and harm you suffered, and an employer can sometimes be liable for an employee's negligence (Article 2180). Whether a claim succeeds depends on proving fault and proving your losses, so bring your medical records, the incident report, and any photos, and the firm will tell you honestly where your case stands.
No one can tell you a figure at the start, and anyone who promises one should not be trusted. Recoverable damages may include actual costs like medical bills and lost income, and, where the law allows, moral and exemplary damages, but the amount turns on the proof you can show and on what the responsible party can actually pay.
